This support note is also applicable for Microsoft Outlook 2019 (32 bits)
ABSS email functions rely on a Microsoft system file named Mapi32.dll. This file is installed with Microsoft Outlook Express and is located in the C:\Windows\System folder. The error "Cannot load "MAPI32.dll". Please install MAPI" or "An email session could not be started. Please check your MAPI installation" means a required component (MAPI) is missing from your computer.
Solution
We have provided a MAPI Fixit Tool below to replace the missing component. To fix it, complete these steps on the computer you send the emails from:
1. Check outlook version, make sure the version is up to Outlook 2019 (32 bits)
2. Close the ABSS Program.
3. Download CheckMAPI Fixit tool from link : CheckMAPI Fixit tool
4. Extract the downloaded ZIP file to open it. You'll see it contains a single file called CheckMAPI.VBS
5. Double-click the file CheckMAPI.VBS to open the tool. If this warning appears, click 'Yes', open this file.
If prompted to run as Administrator, click 'Yes'.
6. A Backup Created window will be prompted. Click 'Yes' to continue.
7. Once the CheckMAPI Fixit Tool has succesfully run, an "Update completed' window will be prompted. Click 'Ok'
Note : If you need to undo the changes made by this tool, double-click the file CheckMAPI.VBS to run the tool again. You will then have the option to restore your original Windows settings.
Error still persists
If running the tool provided above does not fix the issue, it means something is preventing the tool from making the required changes. This means you will probably need help from an IT technician to manually create the required registry entry.
