1. Personal Income Tax rate update
Tax calculations have been updated to comply with the new changes as announced in Malaysian Budget 2020.
a) A new chargeable income band now introduced for resident individual with income exceeding RM 2 million. Refers table below;
P - Total chargeable income for a year
M - Amount of the first chargeable income for every range of chargeable income a year
R - Percentage of tax rates
B - Amount of tax on M after deduction of tax rebate for individual and husband or wife, if qualified
b) The fixed income tax rate for non-resident individuals is increased from 28% to 30% with effect from YA 2020
2. Tax Relief Updates
Personal Income Tax Relief changes for Year 2020 include: -
- Medical expenses relief for self, spouse or child suffering from a serious disease has been extended to include the fertility treatment, total relief amount still remains RM6,000
- Fees Paid To Child Care Centres/Kindergartens has been increased to RM2,000
- Rebate for departure levy on performing umrah and other Islamic religious has been included into Zakat relief

1. LHDN Audit Report
There are three text files added into Reports > Payroll > LHDN Audit in line with LHDN requirement for audit purpose.
User can select specific audit file and browse the path to save the selected file.
The audit report consist of:
- Employee Master – display employee detail information
- Payroll Register – display yearly payroll summary by individual employee
- Chart of Account – display the payroll related chart of account for recording

2. Company Registration Number
The field length of Company Registration No. has been extended to 25 characters to support SSM requirement on display the old and new registration number together within the transition of change to new 12 digits format.
Important Note:
It is recommended to maintain the old company registration number (10 digits format) during generating the SOCSO and EIS autopay file, until further notice from PERKESO that their system able to accept old and new company registration number.
