What is LGEC?

LGEC stands for Let's Get Everyone Connected. It is an ABSS initiative designed to give existing ABSS desktop users greater flexibility in how they manage and access their accounting datafiles — without disrupting the way they work today.

At its core, LGEC enables businesses that are currently running ABSS on a single serial number to selectively connect chosen company data files to ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect (our cloud-connected platform), while allowing other data files to remain fully offline on their desktop. This means you are not forced to choose between desktop and cloud-connectivity — you can have both applications working side by side under the same serial number you already own.

Why is ABSS Launching LGEC?

With the recent GST InvoiceNow requirement from IRAS, we understand that not all company data files under your serial number are required to comply. LGEC is our response to that. With LGEC, you can opt to only connect those data files that require GST InvoiceNow, and continue using the rest of the data files without any change to your current setup or serial number.

How Does It Work?

Your existing ABSS serial number remains unchanged. What changes is that selected company data files can now be linked to ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect. Here is a simple illustration:

Both your connected data files and your offline data files continue to operate under the same ABSS serial number. You do not need to purchase a new licence or change your existing setup. 

Who Should Consider LGEC?

LGEC is most beneficial for businesses in these situations:

• Companies with multiple data files under one serial number – If only some of your entities need to comply with GST InvoiceNow, LGEC lets you connect those specific files while keeping others offline. 
  
• Businesses that want hybrid flexibility – If you prefer to keep certain operations fully desktop-based but still want cloud-connected features (like e-invoicing or bank feeds) for selected files, LGEC gives you both without compromise. 
  
• Organizations concerned about cost efficiency – You can retain all your existing datafiles as well as any add-on purchases done for your serial number. LGEC maximizes the value of your existing ABSS serial number.
• Teams managing sensitive or legacy data – For files that don’t require cloud connectivity or where you prefer to maintain offline control, LGEC ensures you can still continue usage of those files without any change in your current setup

💡 Nothing changes unless you choose to connect. Your existing ABSS setup and data files continue to work exactly as they do today. LGEC is fully optional.

Which data files stay offline?	Any data file you do not choose to connect remains fully offline on your desktop, exactly as it is today. There is no automatic migration of any file.
Can some files be cloud-connected and some offline at the same time?	Yes. This is exactly what LGEC is designed for. Under one serial number, you can have selected files connected to ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect while other files remain unchanged — simultaneously.
Will my offline data files be affected when I connect other files?	No. Connecting one company file to ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect does not affect your other offline files in any way. Each file is managed independently.
Do I need to install anything to use ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect?	Yes, you will need to install ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect software application on your PC. No installation is required for ABSS Connect web portal as you can access it via a web browser on any internet-connected device.
Is ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect a separate product I need to buy?	Please contact our sales team or your ABSS advisor for the latest pricing and subscription details for ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect under the LGEC initiative.
Who can access my company data file on ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect?	Only users you authorise can access your company data file on ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect. You manage user permissions and access levels directly within the system.
Can my accountant or advisor access my connected data file on ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect?	Yes. You can invite your accountant or ABSS advisor to access your connected company data file on ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect, making collaboration and bookkeeping review much easier.
Is my data safe on ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect?	Yes. ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect uses banking-level encryption for all data stored and transferred. Your data is protected both at rest and in transit.
Will ABSS or third parties be able to see my company data?	No. Your company data is private and accessible only by users you authorise. ABSS does not access your business data without your explicit consent.
What happens to my data if I stop using ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect?	Please contact our support team for details on data export and retention policies before making any changes to your subscription.
Is my offline data backed up?	ABSS strongly recommends maintaining regular backups of your offline data files.
Do I need training to use ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect?	ABSS Accounting/Premier Connect uses a familiar interface similar to your desktop ABSS.
