What is Tariff Code
A tariff code is a product-specific code as documented in the Harmonized System (HS) maintained by the World Customs Organization (WCO.) Tariff codes exist for almost every product involved in global commerce. Required on official shipping documents for tax assessment purposes, a tariff code ensures uniformity of product classification worldwide.
How to create Tariff Code in ABSS
To create Tariff code, kindly go to list > Tariff Code > New > enter your tariff code.
If you have more than one Tariff code, kindly create it separately. ( example as below)
After you created Tariff code, you need to set up Tariff code in item list. You need to assign tariff code for individual item on your item list. Kindly go to Inventory > item list > select item ( example item 100) > open > go to item details tab > select your Tariff/HS Code. ( example as per below)
After that, record your sales transaction with SST tax code. ( as below)
When you record sales transaction using item layout and select item number 100, this will be link automatically to SST 02 report.
