SST Customized Form

Introduction

From 1 September 2018, the Sales and Services Tax (SST) invoice template will replace the Goods and Services Tax (GST) invoice template in Malaysia. All "Tax Invoice" need to change to "invoice"

Below is the sample template that compliance with the SST ruling.

How to create a new invoice template for Services Tax (SST) in ABSS Desktop:

1. Open your existing template (form)

                Go to Setup > customize form > invoice > *choose your existing form > customize

*You need to choose your form from this screen

2. Delete the “TAX INVOICE” and insert “INVOICE” into the template.

Since the ABSS form classification is automated generated by the system, we need to delete the Invoice type and insert a new word.

i) How to delete the Invoice Type? Right click Invoice Type > delete

ii) Click on the text field > After that click on the location where you want to put the “INVOICE”. You will see the text field will appear in the template

iii) Double click the text field > key in “INVOICE” under the text column > text format > follow the setting > or you can set with any style according to your preferences.

3. Change “GST Number” to “Service tax No”i) Repeating the delete process. Right click > Delete

       ii) Repeating the process of add in the text field.

iii) Double click the text field > key in “SERVICE TAX NO: 123456789” under the text column > text format > follow the setting > or you can set with any style according to your preferences.

4. Change “Inc GST” to “INC SERVICE TAX”i) Double click the “ADD: GST 6%” and change the GST to SERVICE TAX

ii) Double click “TOTAL INC GST” and change to “TOTAL INC SERVICE TAX”

Please do not replace the GST form with the new SST form as you may need to use it at a later time. To avoid replacing the GST form, after amendment select SAVE FORM AS and type in a new name for the SST form.

*For Sales Tax amendment, you need to follow the same step as above. However, change the word service tax to sales tax.
