The Sales E-invoice feature enables you to generate invoices for your customers, streamlining the billing process and ensuring compliance with LHDN E-Invoice requirements.
Step 1: Submitting sales invoice as Sales E-Invoice

Go to Sales, click Enter Sales
Step 2: To send a sales E-invoice, ensure the fields highlighted in the red box are defined when entering the invoice details.
(1) Select the LHDN Terms that are tied to your customer's credit terms.
(2) Tick the E-Invoice checkbox if you are creating an E-Invoice. You can also set the E-Invoice flag as default in the Customer card file if your customer requires E-Invoice permanently.
(3) The Classification and Tax Type can be defined in Account List for Service Layout, or the Item List if you creating an Item Layout Sales E-invoice.
(4) If you dealing with progressive billing type of business, you can also enter your Billing Frequency and Billing Dates. You can TURN ON these fields from Setup > Preferences > System.
(5) Incoterms - a new field for Item layout, refers to the 3-character standard trade codes most commonly used in international contracts for the sales of goods, e.g. FCA (Free Carrier), CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight), etc.
Important Notes: The current E-Invoice feature only supports Service and Item layouts. Users are required to ensure the detail lines does not include Header, Comment, Subtotal or Blank lines.
Step 3: Once you have clicked Record, click ‘Yes’ to send the E-Invoice.
Step 4: After clicking Yes to confirm, a pop-up will appear to inform the user that the E-Invoice has been successfully sent to LHDN.
Step 5: To view the E-Invoice details, go back to Sales Register and open the Invoice record. On the top right of the Invoice record there will be a button called View E-Invoice Detail.
Important Notes: E-Invoices that are validated by LHDN will be locked by the system, and user cannot amend or delete the invoice. To revert the E-invoice, you can either create a Credit Note or reverse the transaction.
Step 6: The E-Invoice details pulled from LHDN will be shown in a pop-up which includes the UUID, Date & Time of Validation, Status, and the QR code of the record.
You can scan the QR code to view the invoice summary from LHDN MyInvois portal, or you can click the Preview at ABSS Connect button to be redirected to ABSS Connect portal to preview or email the E-Invoice in PDF format.
Step 7: Sending the PDF details to Email
To send the PDF details to the user's Email, you can login to your ABSS Connect account and head to the LHDN Documents tab at the bottom of the left panel.
You can filter the LHDN Documents to Sales Invoice, and the record will appear in the table below.
Click on Send Now under the Email field. The email will be sent to the email specified by the user with the attached PDF E-invoice.
Create Sales Credit Note or Sales Debit Note E-Invoice:
If you want to create a Credit Note E-Invoice:
For Item layout credit note, you need to input a negative ship quantity as per usual and tick the E-Invoice checkbox. When the Ship field is a negative value, the system will recognize this E-Invoice as a Credit Note E-Invoice.
The system will also require the user to input the Original Inv Ref. that the Credit Note is for, ensure you enter the correct reference invoice number.
For Service layout, you need to input a negative amount and also input the Original Inv Ref.
If you want to create a Debit Note E-Invoice:
You need to fill in the debit note details as usual and ticked the Debit Note as well as E-Invoice checkbox.
Similar to Credit Note, you need to input the Original Inv Ref. before clicking Record.
